Det vestlige Australie er som en omvendt dyrehage. Sett fra fuglenes og dyrenes ståsted dukket menneskene opp veldig nylig, og vi finner tydeligvis på mye rart som dyrene fremdeles bare blir stående og se på.

Dette bildet tok jeg i Exmouth, hvor jeg like etterpå kunne se en emufamilie tasse rett inn i en butikk, antagelig for å finne seg noe å spise.

Western Australia is like an inverted zoo. To the birds and animals of the region, people arrived there just a moment ago, and the local wildlife continues to be fascinated by the strangeness of the newcomers to this day.

This photo was taken in the centre of Exmouth, where I also observed a group of emus wandering into a bottle store, presumably in search for something to eat rather than to drink.
