Ingen tvil om vi er på vei til Santiago: Blått skilt med stilisert kamskjell (symbolet for denne pilgrimsferden, etter kamskjellene ved Terrafinis, Verdens ende, rett vest for Santiago), gammel milepæl med mer tradisjonelt kamskjell på, og gulmalte piler. Ja, og så en stabel med småstein, da.

Hadde vi gått til nærmeste busk hadde vi funnet enda et pilgrimsspor: Brukt dopapir.

There's no doubt about where we're heading: A blue sign with the scallop icon (the symbol of this trail, from the scallops found outside Terrafinis, an old "End of the world" just west of Santiago), an older concrete marker with the same symbol, and yellow arrows. And a pile of neatly balanced stones, of course.

If we had looked behind the next bush along the trail we would find another proof of pilgrims: Used toilet paper.
