Description:
A tall, but very thin human male, Jonah Robertson is perhaps one of
the more unlikely specimens of the special breed known as
shadowrunners. With hair worn long, but usually tangled, and
startingly green eyes, Jonah tends to stand out, even in a
mixed-race group. Perhaps not much, given that some trolls and such
are pretty spectacular, but still. His Street Name is Snow Owl, of
obvious reasons, though some call him Owl, simply. Jonah doesn't care much
either way. He is usually clad in a long, dark coat, and wears a
white bandanna. And a hat, sometimes. If he is out in the day (a
rare occurrence, but it has been known to happen), then he wears
round sunglasses - he doesn't care much for the light of the day.
Morale:
Jonah does actually follow a moral code of sorts, much to
the astonishment of some of the people he has worked
together with over the months. He doesn't like to kill
people, and will do so as far as possible. Also, he doesn't
like to cheat people - whatever the reason. It is not that
he will flatly refuse to do so -
he would merely prefer
not to do so. Given the proper incentives, he might slack
his code a little. But he will not, under
any
circumstances, condone kidnapping of anyone. But he
will do whatever is necessary to kill or injure members
of Aztechnology, or to damage Aztechnology holdings and
property.
Origin:
Jonah began his life in Detroit, twenty years or so ago.
As his parents were both working, he was usually left to
his own devices - which were more often than not roaming
around in the streets of Detroit.
One day, he overheard some negroid elves discussing the "Nova Gaia", an infamous and sometimes millitant group of environmentalists, that had started to grow. Lacking a decent focus in his life, Jonah boldly strode forth and asked if he could become a member. And he was accepted. And told that he was an Owl Shaman, and that they would train him in return of his loyalty against Nova Gaia. Jonah accepted - it didn't seem that bad for him - and promptly started to understand these new powers that his "friends" insisted he had.
One day they felt he was ready to take part in a more drastic mission than he normally undertook. The task force he was a part of were to kidnap a lesser executive from Aztechnology, and thereby pressure Aztechnology to clean some of their illegal spills in the forests nearby.
And, as things have a penchant to do when Aztechnology is involved, things got ugly. Too ugly. In the end, Jonah escaped - barely - but with a totally white hair to show for his efforts. Suffice to say that the lesser official was a Toxic Gator Shaman at heart... And that Jonah still has nightmares about her.
Unknown to him, Aztechnology traced him to his home. And while Jonah was away, reporting to his superiors in Nova Gaia what had happened, Aztechnology captured his parents. Promising that they would release his parents unharmed if he would turn himself and his friends of Nova Gaia over, Aztechnology could soon pluck the local cell of Nova Gaians as just so much ripe fruit. Aztechnology was lying, of course. His parents had sadly died during "interrogation", and his friends and himself were soon to be interrogated too.
That night, Owl came to him and told him of what had transpired. And though his sadness was great, he heeded the formula that Owl taught him that night. And used it with great effect the following day. Unfortunately, only half of the Nova Gaians made it out. Jonah felt he had to leave - and did so.
He has now settled in Seattle (pun unintended), and has reached a tacit understanding with Nova Gaia, though they would much prefer not to see him again. Ever. Jonah does still agree with their aims, but not with all their methods.
Totem Info:
Owl is a wise and silent watcher. She rarely speaks, but
she sees much. Owl rules the night skies, and so what she
hunts, she finds. Owl is friendly to her companions, but
terrible to her enemies. By day, she is practically
helpless.
Favored environment: Any urban or wilderness location, but spell-learning is conducted by night.
Advantages: +2 dice for any sorcery or conjuring by night.
Disadvantages: +2 to all target numbers when in direct sunlight. When sheltered from the sun, add +2 to all magical target numbers.

Interestingly enough, most of the members of this gang (which is rather small, as gangs go) are hermetic, instead of shamanic. They tend to be Sorcerer adepts, as opposed to full magicians, but there are some full magicians in the gang.
Snow Owl has tutored the boys in the basics of casting spells - it is amusing for him, and the boys seem to like it. Unfortunately, Snow Owl has recently discovered an area which he sadly lacks in - Magical Theory - and has decided not to teach any more before he has gained some knowledge in this area.
The colors of the Wizz-bangers is a stylized explosion, liberally coated with stylized flames. Snow Owl is formally the leader of this gang, but does not bother them overmuch. He and the current "day to day" leader, Jimmy Lee, are rivals - at least in the eyes of Jimmy Lee. Jimmy Lee is a shaman, though what totem is still unknown. (GM hint: Why not an insect totem? ;-) 'Twould at least make things interesting.) Snow Owl wears a button with the emblem of the gang emblazoned on it.
