Michael Chodosh was my second player character ever created in Shadowrun 2nd edition. My first was a slightly modified Bodyguard, but when he bought that last piece of real estate, I decided to up the ante somewhat. I originally tried to establish a street name - Lynx - for Chodosh, but he ended up being just 'Chodosh'. Or 'Chodde', if you knew him well. |
Personality:
Michael Chodosh is extremely paranoid and jumpy. Living with him was once compared
to living with a large cat by one of the other player characters. For no apparent
reason he'd suddenly run around insanely fast, clutching his Predator II.
Chodosh is paranoid enough not to even have a cellphone (Fox Mulder, eat your heart out), and jumpy enough to leap from the first floor and down to the ground when someone popped up beside him (he didn't even check who it was - he just reacted). And, as everyone knows - falling damage in SR2 is dangerous.
Signature Weapon:
Chodosh prefers small, (relatively) easily concealed handguns (machine pistols
and his trademark Ares Predator II), but isn't really predisposed towards anything.
Little John, one of the other player characters in the same group, complains
that Chodosh isn't 'loyal' to his weapon. He is also very skilled with a monofilament
whip, but has recently started carrying other forms of melee weapons as well.
Interestingly enough, his jumpiness and nervousness disappears when the bullets start whizzing by. Then, he's frosty - calm, collected, and confident with his own ability.
Other:
Chodosh might still have 25 000 nuyen on his head after an unfortunate run
against some Yakuza boss' villa in London, GB. The collateral damage was
considerable - as it usually is.
Chodosh will go through fire and water - literally - for Mariko, a girl (now a beautiful young woman) which he has known since his childhood. Unfortunately, she has recently disappeared after being saved by the group, and Chodosh hasn't any idea on how to find her again - and if she wants him to find her as well.
The gamma ware he has implanted was created before delta was generally available. (The Greek alphabet is alpha, beta, gamma, delta, but FASA f*cked it up.) It is the logical progression from alpha and beta ware - and was created before FASA introduced delta ware. There should be no significant differences between delta ware and gamma ware - gamma ware is somewhat more expensive and somewhat more Essence-friendly - but not enough to make any real difference.
