Due to some unknown episode in his past, Azeem is also convinced that Magi just love him. And since he enjoys making people happy, he therefore follows them around a great deal. Azeem is particularly fond of Magus Diego, though the feeling isn't very reciprocal. Fortunately, it is nearly impossible to be angry with Azeem for very long - he's just too dull-witted for the exercise to be worth anything.
Though Azeem is afflicted with uncontrollable stuttering - particularly when he has something important he wants to say - he has a great voice, and enjoys singing Turkish songs - loudly. But not badly. He is also a skilled jongleur, and delights in entertaining children with his abilities - when they aren't running away from him.
Azeem has, through his unfortunate temper which acts up sometimes, gotten a not totally untrue reputation as being dangerous. The fact that people fear him, is unfortunately what seems to trigger his rage the most.
Azeem lives in a relatively small (for him, at least) hut some distance away from the Covenant, where he dutifully herds his sheep while he sings his songs, and occasionally even trains with his gigantic scimitar.
