Helt Kappverdelig!
Høsten 2012 dukket det opp direktefly fra Oslo til Kapp Verde for første gang på lenge. Ikke visste jeg noe som helst om Kapp Verde-øyene, men akkurat nå var åpenbart et godt tidspunkt for å finne ut litt.
Øya Boa Vista har cirka 6000 innbyggere. Nesten like mange turister får plass på to gigant-ghettoer av noen hotellanlegg på øya, og der holder de fleste seg. Det er sikkert vel og bra, rent komfortmessig, men det er faktisk litt å få med seg utenfor murene også. Se på bildeserien under for noen eksempler.
Sturdy Cape Verde
I admit that before this visit to Boa Vista, one of the islands of Cape Verde, I knew very little about this tiny country. When direct flights between Norway and Cape Verde commenced in the fall of 2012, however, I was quick to go there for a week and see what I could learn.
The island has a population of about 6,000 people. Almost as many tourists can fit inside two garganthuan all-inclusive hotels dominating the place. I'm sure people have a nice time inside the walls of those hotels, but there's a lot to see on the other side as well. See below for some examples.
