- ...and then.. winter! The weather got colder, the days got darker, and the music... well, it got darker too. The end of the summer usually means and end to the warm anthems of the beach parties, and the beginning of a period of darker and harder sounds in the dark basement clubs.
- Then again: Some clubs, DJ's and record labels chose not to go with the flow. They wanted to keep the happy and playful spirit of the beach parties alive all through winter. The word "Ibiza" was heard again and again. Ibiza might only be the place to be for three months of the year, but the spirit of the island is eternal. And if you can't go to Ibiza, then Ibiza will come to you. These clubs, DJ's and record labels have made sure of that. And how fortunate it is for us party addicts.
- This compilations captures the spirit of winter in clubland. The various tracks have been carefully selected to give you the opportunity to bring back sweet memories of the past few months, and to give you a chance to find out what tracks will keep you warm for the rest of the winter. From the anthems of Ibiza 2000 like "Kernkraft 400" by Zombie Nation and Storm's "Time To Burn", to the could-be anthem of Ibiza 2001: The Untamed. Tracks from the wonderboys of the year 2000: Dutch super DJ's like Johan Gielen and DJ Tiësto. The hard stomping beats of Mauro Picotto and the classic sound of Sven Väth. It's all here. And it's all compiled to give you the opportunity to bring a little sunshine into your life these cold winter months. It does for me!
