| For the project on Documentary Photography (beginning of term 2) I chose to portrait a group of fencers in Haverstock Fencing Club. The images shows fragments of clothing and equipment in closeup. I wanted to mediate the diciplin and concentration that goes into performing the sport of fencing, and the identities of the fencers are secondary. Therefore the pictorial contains no formal portraits, to put more emphasis on the poetic of postures. The pictorial is mounted into the layout of The Sunday Times Magazine. | |||||||||
