Subject: Champs

 
 Hi everyone
 
 The Competition appears to have been a huge success.  Unfortunately a few
 countries appear to have got lost on route, the Russians disappeared into
 thin air, (how do you lose 100 Russians?) and we heard that
 Pakistan had arrived in Glasgow whilst we were celebrating the end of a
 successful week.
 
 It was great putting faces to names that I've been talking to over
 GTF-Talk.  People I met include:
 
 Master and Mrs Tomkins, and Mrs Tomkins parents who are really lovely
 people.
 Miss Susan Crochet, one powerful lady, who won female competitor of the
 tournament, well done Miss Crochet.
 Melissa Whalen, whose ladies team did extremely well in the competition
 Rune Lingren from Norway, what a nice guy.
 
 Needless to say Norway came out overall champions this year again...but
 things are going to be different in Canada next year.  Scotland are going
 for gold next year nearly beat Norway this year so we're getting there.
 
 I hope everyone who came over enjoyed their stay and I hope you have all
 take back fond memories of Scotland and it's people.
 
 I will be posting the results on the web pages as soon as I have completed
 the task of formatting them..  Have them in an ASCII file format at the
 moment.
