In reply,
The concept of true fighting, for a TaeKwon-Do student, is found in Hosin Sul
(Self Defense). Self Defense is the ultimate application of pattern practice,
step sparring, free sparring and grappling techniques.
At any rate, if we can call free sparring (Jayu Matsogi) fighting, then the
word for sparring is Matsogi. The word for stance is Sogi. Hence I guess you
could call fighting stance Matsogi Sogi but I don't think I would.
Therefore I think you could use any stance, that is safe at that moment, for
Hosin Sul or Jayu Matsogi.
I hope that you are sufficiently confused at this point to satisfy your
search for a term I have never been taught. I am not saying that it doesent
exist.
Sincerely, most of the time,
Master Tompkins
