This scenario is intended as the springboard for - possibly -
an entire campaign. It does introduce a few new things in Street Fighter, namely
the idea that there exists other realms - or dimensions, if one will - where
life isn't exactly as it is on Earth. Be it Arcadia, Paradise, or Hell - some
of these visions, at least, were grounded in the idea that it was possible to
go otherwhere. You're not in Kansas anymore.
If you don't want to introduce this concept in
your Street Fighter campaign, it is possible to merely change the Wolfmen into
mere Revenants (or other, Focus-enhanced and -destroyed creations of your own
imagination), and change the Asakawa Fragment into some Focus-enhancing device,
similar to the pendants worn by for instance M. Bison and Aka Zahn.
The scenario is divided into various sections,
for ease of referencing - or printing out, for that matter. Just click on the
section you find interesting, and... well, you know the rest.
Incidentally, I designed this scenario primarily
for 3rd through 5th Rank fighters, i.e. people with about 50 xp below their
belts. Sashes. Whatever. It is actually designed to be something of a walk in
the park - at least, initially - as I've been rather nasty with the level of
opposition the characters have encountered lately. Thought I'd build confidence
with a few easy victories before letting them meet the bigger nasties in this
scenario.
When I ran the tournament, the PCs got their
asses kicked, though the toughest PC did win the tournament. And here I thought
I was making it easy for them. Go figure. They obviously need a) better luck
at rolling dice, and b) more experience points so that I can create really
badass NPCs.
