Basically, Iron Wolf is a 2.13 m (7') tall humanoid wolf, packed with rippling
muscle under his fur-clad skin, swinging a metal club with studs as his weapon.
Iron Wolf is Japanese of origin - or rather, his native tongue is Japanese, though
he himself is of indeterminate origin. Very much the slavering beast, Iron Wolf's
mastery of other languages are limited to: "I (snarl) kill ... you now!" and other
thought-provoking sentences. Needless to say, Iron Wolf prefers to let his tetsubo
(iron two-handed club, similar to a baseball bat, though much larger) do the talking.
What is known, though, is that his tour of the Street Fighter Duelist circuit
is backed by someone. Someone powerful. Iron Wolf is followed around by suited, stony-faced and sunglassed
Japanese men, always wearing throat mikes and ear bugs. Iron Wolf is always afforded
the best medical attention money can buy, but always by Japanese doctors in white coats without
any markings on. Some speculate that the men may be from a Japanese medical keiretsu (combine of firms),
though further investigations in that direction has been gently, but firmly discouraged. By stony-faced Japanese men
in sunglasses, firmly but politely suggesting that a person's time might be spent in other pursuits.
Tetsubo: -2 Speed, +4 Damage, -1 Move (LF: 9).
In My Campaign: One character who was pondering a move from Freestyle to
Duelist, met Iron Wolf by design, though he was but a Rank 1 Duelist. You see,
he had sent a rather ... rude ... photograph of the character that scheduled
the fight (only one with Arena knowledge) to a newspaper (think National Enquirer), and
didn't know that the character that scheduled the fight had found out who had caused
him to increase his Infamy (sick pervert) Background from l to ll.
But he did. And the burgeoning Duelist met Iron Wolf. This meant, of course, that
he was severely outmatched. At least he came through the ordeal without being eaten (which was a very real possibility at one point).
At least Iron Wolf wasn't that particular character's highest ranked opponent in his
Duelist career. His very first fight was scheduled by a botch by two (!), and the character
met Steel Shadow. In his very first fight. And Steel Shadow is a Rank 7 (!) Duelist. After Iron Wolf, he met a Rank 1 Duelist. Who happened to be a Rank 5 Traditional Aikidoka. He was himself a Rank 3 Freestyle Boxer, so I thought it was fair.
It wasn't, of course. But then, the Boxer never intended to use his sword, trying to exploit the fighting without a weapon Glory/Honor gain table. Hah! Now, he's training with his rapier in a serious manner.
And doesn't think much about becoming a Duelist. Yet. But with a few XP, and Regeneration under his belt, then perhaps...
