Pan Galactic Gargle Blasters

Here's some more Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy crossovers!

First, two more races.

Dentrassis

Dex: 1D+2/4D+1
Kno: 1D/4D
Mec: 2D/5D
Per: 1D/3D+2
Str: 1D/3D+1
Tec: 2D/4D
Dice: 12D
Move: 10/12
Special Abilities:
Culinary Skill: At character creation only, a Dentrassi gets 2D+1 for every 1D place in a cooking related skill. All advancement in cooking related skills are at half the cost and time.

Capsule:
The Dentrassis are green, furry, bug-eyed monsters. They are revered as the best cooks and drink mixers in the galaxy and don't much care about anything else. Vogons often employ them as onboard chefs, and they take the positions, not because they like the Vogons, but because Vogon money is one of the hardest currencies in the Universe. They'll help hitchhikers hide on a ship, partly because they like the company, but partly because it annoys the Vogons.

Bi-Cranial Betelgeusians

Dex: 2D/4D
Kno: 2D/5D
Mec: 2D/4D
Per: 2D/4D
Str: 2D/4D
Tec: 2D/4D
Dice: 12D+1
Move: 10/12
Special Abilities:
Two Heads: This race's members all have two heads. This allows them to know more, and each head can sleep indepently of the other. The person only has one personality, however. This gives +5D of skill dice at character creation, and they don't really need to sleep with both heads at once (although they often do).

Capsule:
This is the race from which Zaphod Beeblebrox, ex-president of the galaxy, arose. They are roughly humanoid, having two arms, legs, and heads. This race does not have three arms, but another can be added surgically.

And now, Improbability.

Knowledge Skills:
Science: This gives a player general knowledge about science in general. This skill has many, many specializations, and is useful in some situations.

(s) General Physics: This is a specialization of science and gives a player a good backing on how things work.

(a) Physics: This is an advanced Science skill. It gives the player a good grounding on how the universe works.

(s) Improbability Physics: This gives a player knowledge enough to run a finite (at 5D) or infinite (at 10D) improbability generator. This skill makes little sense to most beings, and is nearly useless.

(a) Infinite Improbability Astrogation: This is an advanced skill. To learn you need 5D in Improbablity Physics and 5D in Astrogation. This allows you to fly a ship using an Infinite Improbablity Drive.

(note: these skills are so complicated a computer usually has to be programmed with them so a Drive or Generator can work. Only really obsessed players would even want to learn these.)

Devices:

Finite Improbability Generator
This device is constructed of a Bambleweeny 57 sub-meson brain hooked by the logic circuits into an atomic vector plotter which is suspended in a strong Brownian Motion producer (a nice hot cup of tea). This generates fields of finite improbabilty, and, provided you know just how unlikely something is likely to happen, you can make it happen, such as making all of the undergarments of the hostess of a party jump a meter to the left (this is very popular at parties). Difficulty to use without a computer is Difficult.

Infinite Improbability Drive
This machine does the impossible. When used to fly a ship, it sends it through every point in the universe at once (for any Trek-heads, Warp 10). This can cause strange things to happen, as in the absolutely impossible (time travel, turning nuclear missiles into sperm whales and petunias, creating Event Maelstroms [I don't know what these are]; it's up to the GM). Its difficulty without a computer is Very Difficult.

(I hope I haven't bored you with this nonsensical heavy stuff. I don't really understand it myself.)

And finally, items.

Sub-Etha Sens-O-Matic
This is used to pick up transmissions from ships. The Sub-Etha is the field the ships use to communicate. This signal can be used to identify the type of ship detected. I suggest this is a specialization of the sensors skill.

Electronic Thumb
This device sends a Sub-Etha siganl to nearby ships. It tells, them that the possessor(s) of the device want to be transported aboard. This is an essential hitchhiking item.

Hyperdrives
Hyperdrives on Hitchhiker's Galaxy ships do 3D stun damage to people who use them. It's been described as "unpleasantly like being drunk." To find out what this is like, ask a cup of water.

Pan Galactic Gargle Blasters
The most powerful drink in the galaxy (10D stun damage). The effect of drinking one is like being hit in the head with a lemon wrapped around a large gold brick. Invented by ex-president Zaphod Beeblebrox. The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy lists the planets where the best ones are mixed, and the voluntary rehab centers for afterwards.

Ingredients:

Take the juice from a bottle of Ol' Janx Spirit
Add one measure of water from the seas of Santraginus V
Allow three cubes of Arcturan Mega-gin to melt into the mixture
Allow four liters of Fallian Marsh Gas to bubble through
Float a measure of Qualactin Hypermint extract over the back of a silver spoon
Drop in the tooth of an Algolian Suntiger
Sprinkle Zamphuor
Add an olive
Drink... but... very carefully...
