Pelish the Demon

Pelish (not its true name, of course, but the moniker it prefers these days) is of a now-unknown type of guardian demon common millennia ago. Pelish guards the Seal of Tharizdun in the ruined temple where Ghuk Bloodspear keeps his mercenary unit - but whether he is there to keep the seal intact or to entice people to destroy it is unknown.

Tall (12 ft.), vaguely humanoid, and covered in foot-long spikes, Pelish has truly a fearsome appearance. However, he usually appears as an unassuming human male clad in a plain robe - until such time as when he will drop the charade.

Once, Pelish was able to summon other guardian demons to help him. That ability is inaccessible for him - but he should prove a fearsome combatant nevertheless.

Guardian Demon:
Immunities (Ex): Immune to poisons and electricity
Resistances (Ex): Cold, Fire, Acid, Force 15
Telepathy (Su): Can communicate telepathically with any creature with language in a 100-ft. radius.
Special (Su): Cannot be affected by charm, hold, dominate or similar effects while guarding something (bound to guard object, place, or person)
Death Throes (Su):
When killed, the guardian demon explodes in a shower of spikes, inflicting 60 points of damage in an area of 20 ft radius (Reflex half DC 20)
Fearsome Gaze (Su):
As a free action, once per round, the guardian demon can use its gaze as a fear spell, as if cast by a 14th level sorcerer.
Back Attack (Ex):
Whenever a character attacks from a flanking position or attempts any form of sneak attack, they must succeed at a Reflex DC 25 save or brush against one of the guardian demon's back spikes for 1d6+3 points of damage.
Misting Armpits of Hell (Ex):
When the guardian demon reveals itself, it will immediately be engulfed in a cloud of putrescence. This cloud of putrescence extends in a 10 ft radius from the demon. This cloud acts as a continuous poison, sapping a character for 1d4 points of Constitution each round [Fortitude save DC 24 to avoid] the character is in contact with the cloud of putrescence. There is no secondary damage on this poison.
Seemingly Nice (Su):
The guardian demon can choose to appear in a non-threatening guise. This guise can only be penetrated by true seeing or similar magics. The guise is instantly dispelled if the guardian demon makes any aggressive moves.
