Portuguese variants of "I am crazy"
Futher explanation:
- "Eu" is the personal pronoun "I", we
can use it or not. In this case it's used to give emphasis.
- "Estou" is another verb, as "sou". The difference is
that with "estou" we want to express a transient state, for instance,
when a person thinks he is crazy, he might say "Estou maluco", but it
may be only in that moment. If he really is crazy, if he has some kind of
disease, then "eu sou maluco". We also say "(Eu) estou
maluco" when we are very joyfull or when we do things we weren't supposed
to do.
