The road turns out to lead to a village high above the valley floor. From the villagers we learn that most of the houses here have been built by Moroccans that worked in Europe for a number of years to save up for a place here where they can come back and grow old eventually. It's a good idea. No taxman will ever venture up here. And if he still would, he wouldn't venture back down again, if you know what I mean. |
