Vi forlater kysten og reiser opp i Anti-Atlas-fjellene, til landsbyen Tafraoute. Det er mye tørt og steinete land her også, men takket være elver både over og under jordoverflaten, finnes det mange grønne og fruktbare daler her. Der dyrker de mye forskjellig, men viktigst er palmer og arganfrukt som man kan presse olje ut av.

For oss er likevel det viktigste at vi kan hvile ut i landsbyen om natta mellom fantastiske vandringer på dagtid.

We leave the coast and head up to the Anti Atlas mountain range, to the village of Tafraoute. The land is mostly dry and rocky here as well, but thanks to rivers and streams both underground and visible in the valleys, there are some intensely green and fertile areas. Much is grown here, and the most important products are palm and argan oil.

To us, however, the most important thing is that the village is a great place to rest at night, between some wonderful walks during daytime.
