Every building in the Old Town of Jaipur must be painted in this pinkish colour, and it's been like that since the Prince of Wales visited in 1876. Supposedly it's the traditional colour of hospitality, whatever that means. It's a pity the air has an entirely different colour. Come to think of it, it's a pity the air there has a colour at all. |
