Chichen Itza, nord på Yucatanhalvøya, er et ganske så flott Maya-monument. I hvert fall frem til de 50 busslastene med turister fra Cancun velter inn portene sånn rundt klokka 10 en gang.
Dette er den siden av hovedpyramiden som er restaurert.
Chichen Itza, in the north of the Yucatan peninsula, is a really nice monument left behind by the Mayas. Until the fifty or so busloads of day tourists from Cancun arrives sometime around 10 in the morning, that is. Then it turns into a giant souvenir stall.
This side of the main pyramid has been restored to its former glory.
