Appearance: Lotus is a deceptively slender and delicate looking young
Japanese woman. She has a soft expressive face, large brown eyes and
typically a gentle cheerful smile on her face. She moves smoothly, naturally
supple and graceful. One who looks closely can read her lifelong athletic
training in every move she wakes. She wastes nothing in her movements or
mannerisms. Lotus dresses in conservative clothing, skirts and blouses in
pastels or jeans and simple sweaters. In combat she favors an unmarked ninja
night suit, jet black or in proper camoflage colors for the enviroment.
Notes: Lotus left her clan's ancestral holdings with one purpose in mind, to test her family's style aginst various competitors and styles from around the world. It was felt that it needed to tested and to grow or die out. Lotus was chosen both for her skill and her expressed curiosity about the world beyond the compound. The young woman was fascinated by the things she saw, but horrifed by the many crimes and injustices she witnessed as well. Her efforts to stop them earned Lotus several enemies,among them several Yakuza organizations and a corrupt ninja family, the Mountain Shadows. The team ran across Lotus during an ambush by the Mountain Shadows. Together they defeated the ninjas and later tracked down the smuggling operation the ninjas were protecting. Lotus decided to stay with the group both for the opportunity to travel and test her skills and due to an attraction to the team leader, Joeseph Contrane.
Lotus is a highly skilled practioner of her families particular ninjutsu style, both its physical and spiritual aspects. She has mastered the techniques called the “9 ways cutting”, a series of meditations and hand gestures that unlock special powers in the mind and body. She can manifest several seemingly magical powers like reading the thoughts of others,strengthening her body and mind and manipulating space and time.
Lotus is very much in love with Joeseph Contrane and has been from almost the first time she met him. Inexperienced in such matters, she is not sure how to approach him. Bast's jealousy and efforts to win him have only confused her more. She does not want to cause a rift in the team with her feelings. Lotus is too shy and proud to ask for help, but Lilly has noticed her troubles and is attempting to quietly help her.
